Last Friday, David and I packed up the car for a day out in nearby Branson, MO.
Growing up 30 minutes north of Branson, I have frequented the tourist spot hundreds of times throughout my life most notably with visits to Silver Dollar City. As a lover of roller coasters, my mom took my brother and I throughout each year to ride roller coasters, celebrate the end of summer with friends, view craft demonstrations, and participate in the festivals — crafts, BBQ, Christmas festivals and more.

I am obsessed with taking photos with my Pop’s old Pentax K1000. Recently I developed some film from Fourth of July through the big move. I love the anticipation of seeing these photos once they’re developed and this bunch of photos did not disappoint. It managed to capture some fairly awesome moments.
It has been 17 years since I have had a kitten. I had forgotten, or, rather, I didn’t remember how quirky, noisy, demanding, playful, cuddly, and amazing these tiny creatures could be. Butters days are filled with galloping around the house pouncing on dust particles, falling asleep wherever she happens to land, and an intense desire to be fed every 12 hours on the dot. The introduction of pesky fleas to our lives a couple of weeks ago forced me to throw out her beloved Kitty bed which she stole away from Japhy. She was very upset because she loved it so much.
So this week I decided to make her something new to cuddle on. Read on to see what I made using things I had on hand.
